In a desperate attempt to save his rapidly failing used car dealership, Ben Selleck hires a crack team of "car mercenaries" to ramp up sales during the Fourth of July weekend. While watching this movie I was torn. I couldn't decide if I should leave because it was horrible or just sit there because I paid $9.50... The movie made no sense what so ever. I might have half laughed about twice. Save your money.

I didn't want to believe the reviews after seeing so many trailers for this movie. I thought, "These people must be missing the jokes." No... the movie was missing the jokes it seemed. It was like taking a 10 minute skit and trying to stretch it into a 2-hour movie. I was anticipating this was going to be a laugh-out riot like "The Hangover." Not even close! The energy and zaniness I felt in the trailers just evaporated in the movie. Yes, there were some funny parts, but no... audience laughter was hard to find also. I'm really disappointed. I was expecting so much more than I got. Skip the theater. If you really want to see this one, rent it for the DVD player on a stay-home evening. No... I don't think think Blu-Ray will make it funnier. LOL

I heard a lot of buzz about this movie. But I thought it was pretty funny. It had a very quick ending but all together it was quite funny. Jeremy Piven did a great job and Kathryn Hahn made the movie for me. Its definitely worth checking out

MOVIES REVIEWER

Tues. July 28 - I just attended the advance VIP press preview of his rib-tickling 1.5hr comedy. The EMMY and GOLDEN GLOBE awards-winning Jeremy Piven was in attendance to introduce the movie and he came back for a Q&A when the movie ended. We were privileged to be entertained by him - wonderful wit and humor. THANK YOU, Mr. Piven, for your autographs! Jeremy Piven and his co-stars/cast injected a much-needed dose of panache into an otherwise average script. Their enthusiasm shone brighter than a salesman's smile - everyone delivered their lines on cue with good comedic timing. Zingers/one-liners were plenty - and the one that stuck in my head was him saying "I'm a stallion - and I should be owned by middle-eastern sheiks!". I was chuckling my a$$ off the entire movie! Will Ferrell cameo scenes were hilarious! VERDICT: Worth a visit!!! Average production values. R-rated - PLENTY of profanity and NUDITY - in line with the movie's 'ambience'. Actual GRADE: Solid B
